Manipur Police Sports Club drubbed Youth Welfare Club, Langthabal by 11-0 goals in the opening match of the 8th AMFA Senior Women’s Football League for BM Singh Trophy 2017 played at Artificial Turf, Khuman Lampak.
Manipur Police team who had many international player in theirs rank including striker Ng.Bala and O.Bembem, faced little resistance from Youth Welfare team, who was at the receiving end in the match. Manipur Police scored six goals including an own goals in the first half period.
A.Sakhitombi Devi topscored for Manipur Police with four goals while Ng.Bala Devi, S.Pramodini Devi fetch two goals each, O.Bembem and Ch.Rita fetch a goal each. Youth Welfare player Bidyarani Devi concedded an own goal in the first half.
In another match, Kangchup Road Youth Physical Sports Association, Naoremthong beat Naharol Yaipha Thourang Club, Okram Chuthek by 6-1 goals. N.Ratanbala led the charge for Kangchup team blasting home four goals while Dangmei Grace scored two goals. The lone goal for Naharol Yaipha team was fetch by Th.Devjani i the second half.
Apart from the four team, Eastern Sporting Union, who recently bagged the champion title of Indian Women League, is the fifth team in the league.
