Imphal, November 7, 2017 (DIPR): Patience and hard-work will lead us to success, said Works Minister Thongam Biswajit Singh, today, encouraging students of the Herbert School, Imphal.
The Minister was addressing students and staffs of the school during the 18th Foundation Day Celebration of the school at the school’s Changangei campus.
Biswajit said a nation cannot be developed without education. Human Resource is the most important resource in today’s time, he said before adding that everything is possible if one is hard-working and has patience.
Manipur has enough resources and potential, but the only thing is we are yet to fully explore them, he said.
Encouraging the students further, he said only if we strengthen out today, we will be able to enjoy our tomorrow.
Assuring to black-top the approach from Tiddim Road to the school, Biswajit said there can be no development without connectivity. He continued our only lifeline is the surface connectivity so it is all the more important to improve our road connectivity. Black-topping of the approach road will be taken up under the Road for All mission, he said.
While encouraging the students to work hard to achieve their aims, Minister Biswajit also lauded the school staff for producing good students.
Meanwhile, as part of the celebration, prizes were distributed to rank holders and subject toppers of the school.
The celebration was also attended by Manipur University, Department of Chemistry Prof. N. Rajmuhon Singh, Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, Chairman L.Mahendra Singh.
