Shri Thaounaojam Shyamkumar, Forests and Environment and Municipal Administration, Housing and Urban Development (MAHUD) Minister successfully concluded his two-day Moreh visit today. On way back to Imphal, Th. Shyamkumar visited the Kakching Range Forest Office in Kakching district.
Minister Shyamkumar was given a rousing welcome by the Forest officials at the Kakching Range Forest today. He instructed the department officials to strictly follow the Forest rules and regulations and sincerely collect taxes to generate royalty for the department. He also addressed to the grievances of the department officials.
During his Moreh visit, which began on August 7, 2017, he checked the garbage dumped on the Indian side along the Indo-Myanmar Friendship Bridge at Moreh Gate No.1. He also visited the under constructed building of Integrated Check Post (ICP). He also inspected the encroached areas within the Yangoupokpi Lokchao Wildlife Sanctuary near the border. (DIPR).
