Imphal: To ease the mounting pressure on the healthcare system of the country, the Art of Living has started a nation-wide 24X7 Covid Care helpline.
The main feature of the helpline is the ‘Doctors on Call’ service. Under this service, the public can get basic and preliminary consultations and guidance from qualified Allopathic, Ayurvedic and Homoeopathic doctors either by phone or WhatsApp. The service is accessible on 7439979984.
Currently, consultation is available in English, Hindi and Bengali. Soon other Indian languages will also be added.
The Art of Living has also started an Anxiety Helpline in Meiteilon (Manipuri) to help the people of Manipur in coping with the anxiety and distress arising out of the current humanitarian crisis. Anyone who is experiencing anxiety can call on 7005658504 to get advice and guidance on mental well-being from Art of Living counsellors in Meiteilon. The current wave of Corona pandemic is severely affecting people’s mental health and well-being. The helpline is expected to help many to get the skill, technique and knowledge of handling anxiety.
The Art of Living has also launched an essential series of Covid Care Protocol programmes for different categories of people to help boost their immunity, improve their mental resilience and bring a semblance of peace and quiet. This programmes are regularly conducted in Meiteilon (Manipuri).
The Art of Living has been working round the clock to provide immediate material as well as emotional support to communities affected by the pandemic, state media coordinator Dr K. Romeo Meetei said.
Under the guidance of Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, the organisation has announced Mission Zindagi, a volunteer-driven pan-India service initiative which will match requests from those seeking information on Covid relief Artists and professionals from the film and TV fraternity, various philanthropists are all joining hands in this noble initiative.

The Art of Living volunteers have been serving people and families affected by Covid-19 in several cities across India on a war footing by ensuring that information on the availability of hospital beds, oxygen supply, cooked food, doctor consultation, and the much-needed guidance on mental health reaches the needy on time, Dr Romeo said.
