Imphal: Seven Covid-19 patients expired in 24 hours (Sunday 4 pm to Monday 4 pm) while 362 persons were confirmed as new positive cases in Manipur.
The expired patients were pesons aged 45 years (female, Thoubal), 64 years (female, Imphal West), 50 years (male, Imphal West), 59 years (male, Imphal East), 43 years (male, CAPF, Kakching), 60 years (female, Imphal West) and 54 years (male, Thoubal).
They expired at Shija Hospital (3), Raj Medicity (1) and RIMS (3) respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 422, state Covid-19 common control room said.
The fresh positive cases belonged to Imphal East (122), Imphal West (146), Thoubal (14), Bishnupur (22), Kakching (23), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (14), Chandel (5), Tamenglong (2), Senapati (2), Kangpokpi (8), Noney (2) and Kamjong (1)
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
A total of 107 Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (10), home Isolation (75), RIMS (16), RD Wing (2), RAJMED (1) and SHRI (3).
The cumulative number of positive cases has climbed to 32,523 and active cases to 2071. The recovery rate moved to 92.33 percent.
So far 209074 persons have been vaccinated against Covid-19 in the state.
No air passenger was tested positive for the contagion on Monday.
