Imphal: BJP led Manipur government has failed to serve the people during the last 4 years of governance in Manipur and tries to woo people with propaganda tactics, says CPI, Manipur.
The leadership of the Left Co-ordination Committee , Manipur of the CPI, CPI(M), RSP and AIFB decided to launch movement against the BJP led state government for the failure to implement the people centric development works in the state, CPI secretary L. Sotinkumar said.
During a Press conference the CPI leader charged the government that the government could not function properly because of the infighting and undemocratic exercises in the ruling party and coalition partners.
“The government was formed with horse trading and unethical means. Twelve of the ruling MLAs are facing disqualification charges under the office of profits,” Sotinkumar said.
“The government is run by the crooked and corrupted people. Corruption is in the highest form. This government must be overthrown by uniting all the left, secular and democratic forces ” he added.
Kshetrimayum Santa, CPI(M) secretary said the government declared to construct a hundred beded Covid-19 hospital in rural imphal West and inspected the site with full state authorities but the declaration wasn’t materialised as the chief minister doesn’t have political will.
The left parties declared that they are holding protest against the misdeeds of the government with the people.
