Security forces continue to recover arms in violence hit Manipur

Imphal: Search operations and area domination were conducted by security forces in the fringe and vulnerable areas of hill and valley districts of Manipur and recovered arms and ammunitions from Kangpokpi and Churachandpur districts on Tuesday.

During the search operation in Kangpokpi one Carbine Machine Gun with magazine, two 12-Bore Gun (Local made), one .303 Magazine, one HE-36 Hand Grenades, two No. 80 WP Smoke Grenades, one Stun Grenade, one Baofeng Radio Set, 21 Live Round Ammunitions and nine Blank Rounds were recovered from Hill Range of village K Lhangnom.

One Single Barrel Gun (country made), three Improvised Heavy Mortar (Pumpi), four Live cartridge Bore marked 70 mm (local made), three Empty Cartridge Bore and two Empty cartridges for Improvised Mortar were recovered from YC Hill, Saikot village, Churachandpur.
