Imphal: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be soon in Manipur with a solution to the over 14 month long crisis, he will not come here empty handed and he is the only one who can bring the solution.
This was said by BJP Manipur in-charge Dr Ajeet Gopchade, who is also a Rajya Sabha MP. He arrived here on Tuesday morning.
He made the remark to reporters during a visit to a relief camp opened at Khuyathong, here. He interacted with the inmates and assured them of the BJP’s commitment for their welfare.
He attributed the ongoing crisis in Manipur to the state government’s efforts to control drug influx and combat drug mafias.
He expressed empathy for the affected individuals who have been suffering for the past 14 months.
BJP government seeks peace, prosperity and development in the state, he said and accused Congress of wanting to divide and create tension in the state.
At the Khoyathong relief camp, Ajeet promised to offer clothing items for the children and sewing machines for the skilled adults.
He said he has plans to visit other relief camps.
