We are taking Manipur forward: Bimol

Imphal: The happy winner, Professor Bimol Akoijam, in the Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency, who left his profession for the cause of Manipur said, ” We are taking forward for a new step.”

He appeared in politics in wake of Manipur crisis with the motive to save the indigenous people of Manipur from foreign attacks and ‘failure of governance’.

Bimol received winner certificate from election officer Th. Kirankumar here at Lamphel on Tuesday evening.

“This election is first of its kind and people have spoken out against against money and muscle power, and dirty political culture. We are taking forward for a new step.”

“I will prioritise to bring a united and peaceful Manipur by working together with media fraternity and youths of Manipur. Nobody is perfect but I will do my responsibility that I can,” Bimol said.
