Biren, Sarda depart Manipur to join swearing-in ceremony for Narendra Modi as Prime Minister

Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh, BJP Manipur unit president A. Sharda Devi and general secretary organisation BJP (incharge Manipur and Nagaland) Abhay Kumar Giri invited to participate in swearing-in ceremony for Narendra Modi as third term Prime Minister.

The swearing-in ceremony is likely to be conducted on Sunday.

To participate the ceremony Biren accompanied by its public relation officer and personal security officer along with Sharda departed for New Delhi on Thursday afternoon by Indigo flight.

Sources said Biren Singh will be participating a meeting for chief ministers from different states of the country. It is yet to be confirmed when the meeting is scheduled.

Vice-president state BJP, Ch. Chidananda said Biren and Sharda went to New Delhi as they were invited to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Narendra Modi as third term Prime Minister of the country.

Biren had just returned from Delhi on Wednesday as he departed from Imphal before the declaration of the poll result of the Lok Sabha election.
