MPP declares support to Alyson Abonmai

Imphal: Manipur People’s Party (MPP) has declared to support Lok Sabha outer Parliamentary Constituency independent candidate, Alyson Abonmai.

A declaration letter signed by president of the regional party S. Brojen Singh mentioned that the party decided to support the independent candidate in the spirit of regionalism, patriotism, socialism and co-operation in bringing peace and harmony in Manipur.

The second phase outer parliamentary Lok Sabha election is scheduled on April 26. In the election four candidates including two independent candidates and one each from Indian National Congress and Naga Peoples’ Party are contesting for the outer seat.

The candidates are Alfred Kangam S Arthur for INC, Kachui Timothy Zimik for Naga People’s Front, Alyson Abonmai and S. Kho John as independent candidates.
