Imphal: Security forces in Manipur continued search operations and area domination in the fringe and vulnerable areas of the state resulting to recovery of arms and ammunitions from Imphal East and Churachandpur district on Wednesday.
One local made pistol, one local made .22 revolver, one Pompi, one tube launching, two 2″ motor shel, two hand grenades ( smoke), three detonators of No. 75 MK-2, one blank fire attachment, thirty one empty cases, two empty magazines of SLR, two 38 mm rubber bullets, four 12 bore cartridges, one wakie talkie set and three bullet proof plates were recovered from Champhai vllage, Imphal East district.
One 51 mm mortar, 11 single barrel (country made), one .22 country made pistol with magazine, one .32 country made pistol with magazine, six 51 mm mortar llve rounds and 11live rounds of 9 mm pistol from E Bungjang village, Churachandpur district.
On the same day Manipur Police arrested Moijingmayum Rafik Khan alias Apikcha, 39, from Lilong Chingkham, Thoubal district. From his possession 548 grams of suspected Heroin (Brown Sugar) was recovered, Manipur Police Control Room said.
