MP Sanajaoba urges Union government to take stern action against dishonouring national flag in Churachandpur

Imphal: Rajya Sabha MP Leishemba Sanajaoba urged the union government to take stern action against those who dishonoured the tricolour Indian national flag in the Churachandpur arson incident on Thursday.

Leishemba Sanajaoba on his X posted “Dishonouring of Our Tricolour by throwing on the ground & burning down of DC &SP offices of CCpur Dist. Manipur by Kuki Zo Militants are great threats to our National Security. Stern actions should be taken up by the Union govt.”

The Rajya Sabha MP tagged Prime Minister, Narendra Modi; Union Home Minister Amit Shah; Prime Minister’s Office and Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in his post.

Around 300-400 people reportedly attacked at the office of DC, Churachandpur and the office of district SP in retaliation for the suspension of a head constable who was allegedly involved while attacking the valley people.

The mob torched down the DC office in Churachandpur and the office of SP into ashes.

In a viral video, it was also seen that the mob dishonoured the National flag that was hoisted at the DC office, Churachandpur.

Rajya Sabha MP on his X post also uploaded the viral video that the mob took down and dishonoured the national flag. He also uploaded another photograph on the same post that showed that the national flag was seen at the entrance of an office building.
