Manipur schools to close further till October 5

Imphal: The Directorate of Education (S) has issued order to close all state government, aided, private to close till October 5.

The order was issued on Monday in consultation with the Home department.

Schools have been closed since September 27 following students agitation over ‘murder of 2 youths’.

The department of Education (schools) had announcement to close all schools on September 27 and 29. September 28, 30, October 1 and 2 were general holidays.

Manipur has been in chaos due to Meitei-Kuki clash since May 3.
