Imphal: Manipur Police has arrested one Manoharmayum Barish Sharma in connection with the incident of armed miscreants firing gunshots and injuring five civilians at Sega Road, Khwairakpam Leikai in Imphal West district on October 14.
Altogether nine accused of the incident have been arrested.
Barish Sharma, 30, is said to former president of BJYM. He is a resident of Wangkhei Ningthem Pukhri Mapal, Imphal East.
He and his family have asked for forgiveness to the people for his conduct through social media.
People have been demanding to arrest Barish and those involved in the firing case.
