Kaiku bids adieu to BJP

Imphal: Manipur’s celebrated actor Rajkumar Somorendro popular as Kaiku, who contested in the 2019 Lok Sabha election as independent candidate, has resigned from the primary membership of BJP.

Kaiku left BJP over the state government’s inability to handle the current turmoil in the state and the murder of two young students by Kuki militants.

He is a resident of Thangmeiband in Imphal West. He joined the BJP in November 2021.

Kaiku said his priority is Public first and Party second. He expressed deep sock at the government’s negligence to take up proactive measure to resolve the public disorder since May 3.
