Imphal: Peace committee of Kakching Assembly Constituency has resolved that security forces can be deployed only after discussing it with the deputy ommissioner and superintendent of police of the district who in turn would do the same after having taken consent and agreement from the Peace Committee and other clubs, NGOs and organisations.
The resolution was taken during a meeting held at the office of deputy commissioner, Kakching district on Sunday, with an objective to bring peace, law and order and harmony in the society.
The meeting chaired by MLA M.Rameshwore discussed a security arrangement and placement of manpower for the safety of the people of Kakching AC.
It resolved to organize interactive session with various clubs and organisations formed with an objective to bring peace within the state from time to time.
The meeting resolved that the status of the relief camps within the constituency is to be assessed and required relief materials and rehabilitation are to be provided for restoring, normalcy, peace and harmony within the state.
The meeting was attended by ADM Kakching on behalf of the deputy commissioner, Kapajit Singh; SP Vikramjit Singh; president, Senior Citizen Forum, Kakching, Nongmaithem Nimai Singh; and former minister, Yengkhom Nilachandra Singh who is also vice-chairman of the peace committee, and representatives of various CSOs, clubs and local organisations.
