Kuki People’s Alliance withdraws support to Biren government

Imphal: Kuki People’s Alliance, a political party, has withdrawn its support to N. Biren Singh led Manipur government.

President of the party Tongmang Haokip wrote a letter FIR the support withdrawal to the governor Anusuiya Uikey on Sunday.

“After careful consideration of the current conflagration, the continued support for the incumbent government of Manipur led by Chief Minister N.Biren Singh is no longer fructuous. Accordingly, the support of the KPA to the Government of Manipur is hereby withdrawn and can be considered null and void,” the party president wrote in the letter.

The party won two seats in 2022 in 2022 state Assembly elections.
