Imphal: Shiv Sena Manipur state unit president M. Tombi urged the 40 state MLAs of BJP and supporters to a resolution and send it to the Centre to protect territorial integrity and boundary of Manipur by August 11 before noon.
Tombi in a voice note issued to media said the 40 MLAs can take a unanimous decision for the protection of Manipur at the chief minister’s secretariat without waiting any state Assembly session. Parliament’s monsoon session which was commenced on July 20 will conclude on August 11.
He said the state party welcome the statement of Union Home minister Amit Shah for rejecting the proposal for funeral of Kuki bodies at a historical place of Manipur.
Myanmarese who are not allowed to stay at Myanmar or Bangladesh cannot stay in Manipur, the central government should take appropriate action against those infiltrators. For the identification of those infiltrators or illegal immigrants NRC should be implemented immediately in the state Tombi said.
The central government should abrogate SoO agreement with militants who come from Myanmar. The pending border fencing work of around 389km length should be completed at the earliest to stop illegal immigrants entering Manipur (India), he added.
To restore intimacy among the various communities who are residing in hills and valley, MLRLR Act, 1960 should be implemented. Intimacy among the communities could be increased by allowing all the communities to settle anywhere and any place of Manipur irrespective of hills and plain, he said.
The Armed Forces (Special Power) Act, 1957 should be withdrawn completely from Manipur to maintain peace.
