Imphal: A team of Lamphel Police station apprehended an ‘active’ cadre of ZUF(J) from Thangmeiband Tarung village area, Imphal West on Wednesday.
The arrested insurgent was identified as Pulouna Kamei, 24, alias Apu, son of Abou Kamei of Thangmeiband Muji Khun.
He was nabbed at about 10 pm acting on an input of 15 Assam Rifles, police said.
Pulouna revealed that he had joined ZUF(J) in December, 2020 and he was involved in serving demand letters at various places in the valley area, it added.
Further investigation is going on, police said.
