Imphal: One hand grenade suspected to be Chinese made was found on Monday morning at the main gate of one Sapam Somendro Meitei, 42, son of late S. Kumar Singh of Khongman Zone-V in Imphal East.
An information was received at about 6.03 am that one suspected hand grenade has found lying at the main gate of the residence of Somerendro, police said.
A team of Irilbung police and a team of state bomb squad reached the spot and recovered the bomb safely.
It is reported that Somerendro is a rental service proprietor. The bomb was disposed at 9.10 am at Awa Ching, Keirao, Imphal East.
