Imphal: Manipur Government Services’ Federation (MGSF), Manipur Secretariat Services’ Association (MSSA) and Manipur Secretariat Drivers’ Association (MSDA) has signed an agreement with Manipur government on Tuesday to increase DA/DR.
A meeting with the representatives of employee bodies was held and discussed the demands of the employees under the chairmanship of the chief minister N. Biren Singh in presence of deputy chief minister Y. Joykumar, chief secretary, principal secretary (GAD), special secretary (DP) and other officers.
The state government agreed to increase DA/DR as–14 percent from October 1, 2021 (7 percent increase), 17.5 percent from April 1, 2022 (3.5 percent increase), 21 percent from June 1, 2022 (3.5 percent increase) and 28 percent from December 1, 2022 (7 percent increase).
The state government has to form a committee to look into the matter for subsequent DA/DR increases.
The state government also agreed to examine and decide the various demands raised by the employee bodies.
With the agreements signed, the MGSF, MSSA, MSDA etc., agreed to call off the cease-work strike with immediate effect.
