Manipur reports 5 vaccinated persons among 14 Covid-19 related death, 9 have co-morbidities

Imphal: Five persons who were given first doses of Covid vaccine were reported among 14 Covid-19 related death cases in Manipur on Friday.

Nine of the death cases had co-morbidities, Manipur Covid-19 common control room said.

The cumulative number of deaths was 1628.

In the past twenty-four hours, 742 persons were confirmed positive for the contagion, the control room said.

The new positive cases belonged Imphal East (141). Imphal West (235), Thoubal (31), Bishnupur (50), Kalcching (34), Ukhrul (8), Churachandpur (88), Chandel (19), Senapati (14), Tamenglong (7), Tengnoupal (7), Noney (2), Pherzawl (40), Kamjong, (6), CAPF (54) and Kangpokpi (6).

The positivity rate was 14.7 percent.

“Today, 1047 persons were discharged. They are from Home Isolation (434), RIMS (29), JNIMS (15), CCCs (229) and CHICs (340),” the control room said.

The recovery rate has gone up to 90.28 percent.

The cumulative number of positive cases was 102, 889 and the number of active cases was 8,367.

In the last 24 hours, a total of 1722 D-type oxygen cylinders and 311 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.

As on Thursday a cumulative number of 1368523 vaccine doses (1st dose of 1134815 and 2nd dose of 233708) were administered 8n the state.
