Imphal: Tribal affairs and hills minister Vungzagin Valte, who is also incharge of Churachandpur and Pherzawl districts visited district Hospital, Churachandpur on Friday to enquire about the lack of water supply and electricity in the hospital.
He was accompanied by MLA Ginsuanhau Zou, who is al chairman of Manipur Renewable Energy Development Agency.
The minister chaired a meeting related to the lack of electricity and water in the hospital. After a thorough discussion on the challenges faced by the hospital administration, it was decided to form a committee comprising of the district administration, PHED, MSPDCL and other concerned departments to look after the welfare of the hospital.
The minister urged the district administration to pull all available resources together for sufficient supply of water and instructed the DGM of MSPDCL to notify the hospital management about power cuts.
“I will be there for the people who need help. If these things can’t be done, please inform me. We will find a way together,” the minister said.
“Mistakes might have been committed, misunderstandings might have cropped up, but I am here to help in making things right,” he added.
Pawan Yadav, DC, Khaikhopai Ngaihte, ADC, Dr V.C. Pau, CMO, Dr Kungi, MS, representatives from MSPDCL and PHED and other concerned departments attended the meeting, an official statement said.
