Assam Rifles extends assistance to children home, screens patriotic movies

Imphal: Moreh Battalion under aegis of IGAR(South) extended assistance to JJ Children’s Home, Moreh on Friday.

In order to assist the home to tide over the lockdown induced difficulties, essential commodities, masks, gloves, sanitizers and daily use items were provided to the children.

The children were also educated about Covid-19 protocols like maintaining social distancing, wearing of masks and regular washing of hands to safeguard themselves.

The orphanage home administrators expressed heartfelt gratitude and appreciated the endeavour of Assam Rifles.

Sajik Tampak Battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised screening of a motivational and patriotic movies for the children of Khullen village, Chandel District on Wednesday and Thursday.

Movies on Kargil war and Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose were screened as part of events to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. The tales of valour and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and brave soldiers made profund impact on young minds.

The children and their parents appreciated the endeavours of Assam Rifles for screening of the patriotic movies which not only widened their horizon but also motivated them to join the Armed Forces, the Assam Rifles said.
