Imphal: Mantripukhri battalion of Assam Rifles under the aegis of IGAR (South) in an joint operation with Manipur Police apprehended three arms traffickers in Tungou village, Imphal East district on Monday.
Based on specific input, troops of Assam Rifles launched an operation which led to the apprehension of three arm traffickers along with recovery of one single bore rifle with four live rounds and two fired cases, and 48 rounds of 9mm, the Assam Rifles said on Tuesday.
The apprehended traffickers along with recovered items were handed over to Imphal East Police station for further investigation, it added.
