Imphal: People who already received the Covid-19 vaccine should give awareness to the people so as to convince the people with the benefit of getting vaccine.
MLA H. Dingo said this on Sunday asking the people to avoid rumours against vaccination.
The people’s representative was speaking during a tree plantation programme organised at Pheyeng Deban Lampak Eco garden, Sekmai Assembly Constituency in connection with the observation of “Balidan Diwas and birth anniversary” of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee.
Dingo who is also the co-convenor of Joint Committee on Covid-19, Sekmai said the benefit of getting vaccinated could be highlighted to the people. People who have received full dose of the vaccine are hardly infected with the virus, he added.
“People will trust more to the awareness given by vaccinated persons. Getting early Covid-19 vaccine will be one of the main reasons to avoid severe impact from infection,” Dingo said.
He appealed to the people to get early vaccination as it will save a life.
