Imphal: A team of Imphal West Police commando seized 171.5 litres of distilled indigenous country liquor on Friday.
The police team led by sub-inspector Birla raided a house located at Sagolband Tera Sapam Leikai, Imphal West that belongs to one Wahengbam Borajao Singh, 49, son of W. Chouchou Singh at about 8 am.
During the raid 97 plastic packets (1 litre); 100 plastic bottles (500 ml); 14 bottles (750 ml); 14 bottles (1 litre) were recovered in possession of Borajao.
The person was detained and handed over to excise department, Lamphel along with the seizures.
