Imphal: Keithelmanbi and Moreh battalions under the aegis of IGAR (South) organised tree plantation drive at Sarita Devi Boxing Academy, Mayang Imphal and Morhron on Saturday towards promoting the ‘Go Green Initiative’.
The tree plantation drive was conducted with an aim to control the global warming, make environment pollution free and spread awareness on importance of clean environment, the Assam Rifles said.
As part of initiative, saplings of various types were planted by students of the boxing academy at Mayang, Imphal and villagers in Moreh.
