Imphal: A team of Imphal West police commando recovered Indian made foreign liquor and beer from a residence of Sagolband Tera Tongbram Leikai Friday morning.
Police reported that a team of Imphal West district commando led by sub-inspector S. Birla Singh detected the liquor from the residence of Thounaojam Sumendro Meeitei, 42, son of late Th. Manglem Meeitei of Tera Tongbram Leikai, Imphal.
A total of 48 bottles of AC Black (180 ml); 3 bottles of Carlos Rossie (750 ml); 2 bottles of 100 pipers (750 ml); 24 bottles of Royal Stag (375 ml); 47 bottles of Corona Extra (355 ml); 72 canes of Tuborg (500 ml) and 72 canes of Kingfisher (500 ml) were recovered.
The detainee along with recovered articles have been handed over to Eecise department, Lamphel for necessary action.
