Committee discusses to frame guidelines consequent to cancellation of board, council exams

Imphal: Meeting of the Committee to frame guidelines for assessment of students of class-X and Class-XII constituted consequent to cancellation of HSLCE, 2021 and HSE, 2021 by the government on Wednesday was held on Thursday.

The first meeting was held with M. Harekrishna, commissioner of education(S), chairman of the committee in the chair with all members of the committee in attendance.

The committee having deliberated on all issues and problems associated with the unprecedented matter in hand, unanimously agreed to constitute one sub-committee each for the HSLCE, 2021 and HSE, 2021 under the chairmanship of the chairman, BSEM and chairman, COHSEM respectively.

The chairmen of the two sub-committees were also empowered to co-op two additional educationists/ educational administrators of eminence in their respective sub-committees for wider consultations.

The chairmen of both the sub-committees were requested to submit their respective reports on or before June 26.

In the first meeting, besides the Terms of Reference of the committee, several associated issues which may crop up at a later stage were also discussed and the chairman of the committee requested the sub-committees to dwell on these newly emerged issues as well, the director of education L. Nandakumar Singh said.
