Imphal: Taking into account of the severity of Covid-19 rising cases, the Council of Teachers’ Associations, Manipur has decided to donate one-day salary of all
categories of teachers serving under department of education(S) to the CM-Covid-19 Relief fund.
The teachers council said it was decided as done earlier during the fight of first wave as a gesture of its concern and support in the fight against the deadly virulent covid-19 second wave.
The donation is payable in June., it said.
It expresses its serious concern amidst the struggle of revision of pay rectification at the calamitous and predicament situation of covid-19 second wave rising positive cases and compounding rate of fatalities in the state.
The council of teachers associations appealed to all the ‘right thinking citizens’ to join the fight against Covid-19 by observing SOP’s and CAB’s.
It salutes the Covid-19 warriors for their ‘selfless and tireless efforts’.
