Imphal: A Liquid Medical Oxygen(LMO) Cryogenic 10KL tank, capable of storing approximately 1300 Jumbo cylinders, has been dispatched from Gujarat on May 11 for Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) Imphal.
Chief minister N. Biren Singh highlights this development on his Facebook post.
The tanker is likely to reach Imphal latest by May 19. Civil work at the site and other necessities arrangements are being taken up on war footing to meet the deadline, Biren said.
“We shall be able to install and begin the supply of oxygen from this plant by the end of this month,” he added.
Biren said two Pressure Swing Absorption (PSA) oxygen plants, each with a capacity of producing 200 cylinders per day with oxygen cylinder filling stations have also been despatched from Ahmedabad for JNIMS. The auxiliary equipments have also started dispatching from various parts of India.
“We are giving our best to install these plants at the earliest,” he added.
The chief minister in another post said 50 D-type oxygen cylinders with NRBM HI mask have 1000 arrived. Out of this 40 cylinders will be given to JNIMS, he added.
