Imphal: Manipur government has received a total of 374 D-Type oxygen cylinders from two oxygen plants in Nagaon and Dimapur.
This was informed by chief minister N. Biren Singh on Monday through his Facebook platform.
While the production of oxygen is being ramped up in state facilities, Manipur government has also started procuring oxygen from neighbouring state as a measure to ensure adequate availability of oxygen in Manipur, Biren said. “The government will take every possible measures to protect our citizens,” Biren said.
Similarly, as a civic duty, everyone is requested to follow Covid SoP laid down by government authorities, he added.
The chief minister on Sunday chaired a review meeting to assess the availability of oxygen in the state and discussed various measures to fast track production of oxygen in the government and private facilities.
In order to monitor production round the clock and also to ensure efficient supply of oxygen to hospitals, the government has also deputed one dedicated officer to each of these oxygen manufacturing plants, Biren said.
