Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh has announced an extra incentive of Rs 15, 000 per month for doctors and Rs 12, 000 for nurses who are directly engaged inside Covid wards.
The incentives were announced in recognition of the sacrifices and efforts of doctors, nurses and other healthcare staff engaged in covid wards, Biren said on Friday.
All other doctors, nurses and health care workers on duty who contributes in Covid related services will be given an incentive of Rs 4,500 per month, he added.
The drivers and handyman who are transporting in oxygen from outside the state will be given incentives of Rs 1000 and Rs 500 respectively per day.
The announcement was posted on the Facebook wall of the chief minister.
