Curfew extended, vegetable vendors can open during 7 to 10 am for 3 days

Imphal: Manipur government has extended Covid-19 curfew till May 28, permitted vegetable vendors to market during 7 to 10 am on May 20, 23 and 26 in Imphal West, Imphal East, Bishnupur, Thoubal, Kakching, Chuachandpur and Ukhrul.

The vegetable vendors should be seated at least six feet away from one another and should wear mask all the time, an order issued by the home department said on Monday.

The government also allows only one out of three grocery shops of the total shops or vendors in one location to open on rotational basis on the same time of the same permitted days.

If the shops or vendors are located in congested rows (on major roads like NH both sides may open), then only alternate rows shall be allowed to open. Queue system should be adopted by all shops and vendors, the order said.

It said there will be strict ban on vehicular movement continues even during the permitted period.

Three Ima Keithels, its adjoining markets and the local markets of Local markets at Khurai Lamlong, Andro Parking, Lambulane, Kongba, Pishum thong, Kwakeithel, Nagamapal, Singjamei Bazaar, Wahengbam Leikai and major other major markets in other districts shall remain closed, the order said.
