Imphal: Tengnoupal Battalion under the aegis of IGAR(South) assisted the villagers of Kwatha Village in celebrating Lai Harabou festival on Tuesday.
During the celebration, the villagers and troops of Assam Rifles offered prayers at the village temple. The festival was celebrated with limited attendance due to restrictions imposed due to covid-19. The festival was celebrated adhering to Covid appropriate behaviour, the Assam Rifles said on Wednesday.
The event culminated with distribution of ration and refreshment to the villagers. The village chief highly appreciated the efforts made by Assam Rifles and also requested to continue assistance in future.
