445 Covid-19 patients recovered, 330 confirmed positive, 14 lives lost

Imphal: Manipur on Monday witnessed highest single day recovery of Covid-19 patients of 445 while 330 fresh cases and 14 death cases were reported in 24 hours.

“The total number of discharged persons is 455. They are from CAPF (7), Home Isolation (322), RIMS (23), JNIMS (3), RD Wing (6), BB (11), NSU (24), SHRI (20), Babina Speciality Hospital (6), CCC Lamboikhongnanglchong (10), Jivan Hospital (7), Bishnupur (14), Tamenglong (1) and Senapati (1), Manipur Covid-19 common control room said on Monday evening.

The new positive cases belonged to Imphal East (85), Imphal West (127), Thoubal (28), Bishnupur (30), Kakching (21), Ukhrul (7), Churachandpur (8), Chandel (3), Senapati (7), Tamenglong (6), Kamjong (1), Noney (3), CAPF (3) and Jiribam (I).

All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.

Of the death cases nine were from Imphal West and five from Imphal East,

The cumulative number of deaths is 592, that of positive cases is 40,059, the number of active caws is 6338 and the recovery rate is 82.70 percent, the control room said.

It said in the last 24 hours, a total of 1488 D-type oxygen cylinders and 502 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.

As per latest information 309896 persons have been vaccinated.

Air passengers who travelled to Manipur on May 24 by Air India AI-715 in rows 8-14 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective district surveillance officers for further surveillance and necessary testing, the control room said.
