Imphal: Sixteen Covid-19 patients expired, 726 persons were confirmed as fresh positive cases and 381patients were recovered in Manipur on Friday report.
The death cases belonged to Imphal West (9), Imphal East (4), Bishnupur (2) and Churachandpur (1).
The cumulative number of deaths has risen to 552.
The positive cases belonged to Imphal East (192), Imphal West (290), Thoubal (48), Bishnupur (57), Kakching (33), Ukhrul (9), Churachandpur (49), Chandel (5), Senapati (11), Tamenglong (4), Kangpolcpi (5), Noney (11),Jiribam (2) and CAPF (10).
All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, state Covid-19 common control room said.
Recovered 381 Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (6), Home Isolation (291), RIMS (16), JNIMS (8), RD Wing (1), BB (17), NSU (14), RAJMED (9), KIRI (5), Bishnupur (6), Ukhml (1), and Churachandpur (7).
At present the cumulative number of positive cases is 38,322, the number of active cases is 5898,and the recovery rate is 83.16 percent, the control room said.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1107 D-type oxygen cylinders and 516 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur, it added.
So far a total of 296894 persons have been vaccinated in the state.
