Imphal: Manipur chief minister N. Biren Singh on Monday chaired a meeting of the State Consultative Committee (SCC) for Covid-19, at his secretariat, here.
“Stricter penalty against SoP violators and preparedness for mass vaccination above 18 years of age were other agenda,” he said.
Intensification of vaccination, testing and contact tracing through involvement of MLAs were discussed at length, Biren writes on his Facebook wall.
This was the second meeting of the consultative committee chaired by the chief minister in seven days.
Centre has advised states and union territories to implement intensive containment framework, focused on specific areas to bring the alarming pandemic situation under control.
In the state, five Covid-19 patients expired while 146 persons were confirmed positive on Monday. The active cases was 545 and Covid-19 related death cases was 390.
