Ruling MLAs meeting resolves to re-activate Covid Care Committee

Imphal: Manipur chief minister on Friday chaired a meeting of all ruling MLAs to deliberate over the prevailing Covid-19 situation and upsurge in positive cases in the state, and policies to tackle the spread of the pandemic.

Resolved to reactivate Assembly Constituency-wise Covid Care Committee headed by the MLA for each constituency and empower it to tackle any emergency falling out of the Covid Second Wave, Biren writes on his Facebook wall.

The meeting took decisions to establish one Covid Care Centre in each Assembly Constituency, better management of vaccination process, food grains distribution, engagement of more frontline staff etc.

Manipur, as on Thursday, has 1225 Covid-19 active cases with the confirmation of 314 fresh cases, in Manipur.
Covid-19 related death cases have risen to 400 in the state.
