Imphal: Local bodies of Youth Development Center Club, Keirao Bitra, Litan Makhong Youth Club, Irilbung Library Union and Keirao Khunou Youth Club of Imphal East district launched a poster campaign to help prevent from Covid-19 infection.
The poster campaign was organised by Youth Development Center Club, Keirao Bitra.
To remain safe amid Covid-19 outspread members of the clubs spread awareness by using loud speakers urging for timely vaccination, how to maintain health hygiene and to follow the government prescribed guidelines.
Youth Development Center Club president Puthem Ibomcha said when the pandemic hits Manipur for the first time the state encountered to overcome the situation and was likely to overcome. But with the coming of second wave the virus has started impacting lives of the people, he added.
People should not wait for the government to take initiatives but need to be self- responsible to prevent from the virus infection, he added.
