Imphal: In wake of the increase in Covid-19 positive cases in Manipur, MLA Kh. Joykisan has highlighted the state government on the need to strengthen the committees headed by respective MLAs.
The MLA suggested that authority concerned needs to provide appropriate details of infected persons so that contact tracing could be done easily.
Joykishan made this remark while talking to reporters at his Thangmeiband residence on Sunday.
During the first wave of Covid-19 the state government took various initiatives by forming a committee headed by respective MLAs of the state. With the coming of the second wave fewer initiatives from the state government are seen on monitoring contact tracing, he added.
The MLA from Thangmeiband Assembly Constituency has appealed to the people of his constituency to vaccinate against Covid-19.
People of the constituency who are facing inconvenience in vaccination can contact the members of Thangmeiband Kendra Development Organisation (TAKDO), said Joykishan who is patron member of the organisation.
With the increasing rate of Covid-19 infection in the country some of the state has already announced for partial lockdown. To prevent the infection the government has been taking initiatives for vaccination. For the second wave of Covid-19 the government is going to distribute free rations, he said. To avail the opportunity people of the assembly, he appealed his Constituency people to submit the aadhaar card to the members of TAKDO or to him.
