Five more expired of Covid-19, 314 confirmed positive

Imphal: Five Covid-19 patients expired while 314 fresh Covid-19 positive cases were reported in 24 hours (Wednesday 4 pm to Thursday 4 pm) in Manipur.

The new positive cases include 18 personnel from central security force.

The positive cases from general population belonged to Imphal East (77), Imphal West (128), Thoubal (11), Bishnupur (14), Kakching (29), Ukhrul (1), Churachandpur (14), Kangpokpi (13), Senapati (3), Noney (2) and Tamenglong (4).

In the last 24 hours, five persons aged 62 years (male, Imphal East), 54 years (male, Bishnupur), 78 years (male, Imphal East), 70 years (female, Imphal West) and 76 years (female, Imphal West) expired at Raj Medicity (3), JNIMS (1) and RIMS (1) Hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 400, state Covid-19 common control room said.

A total of 58 Covid-19 patients were discharged from CAPF (2), home isolation (45), SHRI (9). A total 258 individuals which were reported on Thursday only due to various reasons. The total number of recovered cases was considered as 314 after reconciliation with reports from IDSP team, home isolation team and hospitalisation team as on Thursday, it added.

The cumulative number of positive cases has risen to 31,315, the number of active cases moved to 1225 and the recovery rate to 94.81 percent.

Air passengers who travelled to the state on April 25 by Indigo Flight 6E-6181 in rows 16-21 and 6E-21 in rows 29-35 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 18003453818 or respective district surveillance officers immediately, the control room said.

Latest information says 159860 persons have have been vaccinated so far.

No air passenger was found positive at Imphal airport when tested 43 passengers in 24 hours.
