Imphal: Troops of Assam Rifles intercepted six Myanmar origin two wheelers plying illegally in the Indian territory at H Lhangcham along the Indo Myanmar border on Tuesday
At 2 am troops carring out area domination observed some motorcycles moving in the area. On being asked to stop, the riders abandoned the two wheeler and fled across into Myanmar taking advantage of darkness and thick foliage.
On examining the two wheelers it emerged that the riders were carring 30 diesel jerricans and four cases of beer. The siezed items alongwith the motorcycles were handed over to Customs Preventive force, Moreh for further legal action.
