Imphal: About 25 acres of poppy plantation were destroyed at Kangchup Geljang hill range under Kangchup Police station, Kangpokpi district in Manipulation on Monday.
The poppy cultivating area of K Geljang Hill
Range was about 20 kms South West of Kangchup Police station.
The poppy plants destruction was conducted by a joint team of Kangpokpi Police,
SDO Kangchup Geljang, NAB and forest department of Kangpokpi under the supervision of Kangpokpi SP.
The drive was led by SDO Kangchup Geljang,
additional SP (ops) Kangpokpi, DSP Kangpokpi, range forest officer (RFO) Kangpokpi, OC Kangchup Police station, district police Kangpokpi and NAB officers and personnel numbering of 113 persons.

Appropriate formalities had been taken at the
concern Police Station for further necessary
action,” chief minister Biren posted on his FBI wall.
