11111 positive

Imphal:  The cumulative number of Covid-19 positive cases reached 11111 on Thursday in Manipur.

Of the total commulative positive cases 8796 were from the general population while 2315 belonged to central security personnel.

The number of active cases is 2402 (general population — 1857 and central security personnel-545), Covid-19 common control room.

On Thursday, 181 Covid-19 patients discharged from Manipur hospitals and covid care centre’s after after they were found free from the disease on RT PCR test.

The recovered patients were discharged from CAPF (12), Home Isolation (3), RIMS (6), CCC Thoubal (33), CCC Noney (1), UNACCO (17), CCC Lamboikhongnangkhong (41), CCC Kasom (1), CCC Kangpokpi (6), CCC Bishnupur (9), CCC Sadbhavna Mandop Churachandpur (37) and CCC Lanva (15).

The control room said in the past 24 hours, 112 persons from general population and 16 personnel from Central Armed Police Force (CAPF) were confirmed as new Covid-19 positive cases.

The positive cases were from RIMS — 35; Senapati — 2; Tengnoupal — 7; Noney -21; Churachandpur — 4; Raj Medicity — 3; Ulchrul — 4; Tamenglong — 18; Shija Hosptal —10; Imphal East — 7; Kakching — 1; Thoubal — 1; Mother’s Care — 1; Jiribam — 2; Hillside Hospital — 2; Babina Diagnostics — 7; Bislumpur — 2; JNIMS—1.

The positive cases from general population are from Imphal West — 40; Imphal East —13; Senapati — 2; Jiribarn — 2; Tengnoupal – I; Noney — 16; Churachandpur – 4; Tamneglong —18; Ukhrul — 4; Chandel —1; Thoubal — 5; ICakching — 2; Bishnupur -4.

Seven persons from Imphal East are returnees from other states while the rest are locals without any significant travel history, the control room said.

During the 24 hpurs one 50 years old male from Thoubal expired at JNIMS. The cumulative number of deaths is 68, it added.

The recovery rate is 77.76 percent, it said.
