Imphal: In a major breakthrough, Churachandpur Police on Sunday cracked a theft case in which electronic good items worth over Rs 7 lakhs was stolen on September 3 from a local mobile and computer shop.
An investigation was carried out regarding the looting of one mobile shop – Bits World Mobile and Computer shop located at Nehru Marg Junction.
A team of police under the supervision of superintendent of police, Churachandpur recovered the stolen items from the possession of two accused persons who are Khuplianmang, 27 son of Lamkhankap and Nangkhanpiang, 25, son of Thangkhanmuan both of Kanan Veng, New Lamka on Sunday afternoon.
Due process is underway for further necessary action in this regard, police said.
