Imphal: More than 220 people from Manipur CM secretariat, officials, security and staff posted at CCR have been found to be negative, state COVID-19 common control room said on Monday.
It said that in the past twenty-four hours, 51 persons including 17 females were confirmed as new COVID-19 positive cases at the VRDLs of RIMS (10), JNIMS (22) and Thoubal (19). They belong to the districts of Imphal West (7), Churachanpur (2), Imphal East (9), Thoubal (19) and Kangpokpi (14). All (except 18 from Thoubal, 4 from Imphal East, 1 from Churachandpur and 1 from Imphal West) are returnees from other state, it added.
They were being shifted to the COVID Care facilities. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the control room said.
It said in the past twenty-four hours, 38 persons were discharged from JNIMS (8), COVID Care centres of Meitram (15), Ukhrul (2), Senapati (3), Thoubal (3) and Kamjong (3) and RD Wing (4) after they were found COVID-19 free on RT PCR test.
The cumulative number of positive cases reached 2,286. The numbers of active and recovered cases stood at 727 and 1,559 respectively. The recovery rate was 68.19 percent as on Tuesday.
“Eleven CISF (Central Industrial Security Force) personnel who were found positive are from the designated quarantine centres,” the official information said.
“Positive case from CCR has a history of contact with a positive case during a visit to Senapati District Hospital. He has been retested through RT PCR and found negative,” the control room said.
