Imphal : Shiv Sena, Manipur unit has urged the state government to call an all political parties meeting after May 3 to discuss the guidelines on relaxation of total lockdown.
It also demanded to ban every products imported from Myanmar in Manipur.
President of Shiv Sena, state unit, M. Tombi made the appeals during a press conference held at its party office, here on Wednesday.
He said with the initiatives and hard works from the medical staffs including other frontline workers state government had announced Manipur as Corona-free state.
The second phase of Covid-19 lockdown completes on May 3.
Government need to make guidelines what activities to be conducted after the lockdown and the matter need to be discussed in an all political meeting, Tombi said.
In the past people of the state have encountered the issues of plastic rice, eggs and other edible snacks which affected physical health, especially children. The products are mostly imported from the border area of Myanmar. Products imported from Myanmar must be banned totally, he added.
“Please stop using products imported from Myanmar if we want to avoid spread of Coronavirus,” Tombi appealed to the people in the state.
The state unit of Shiv Sena donated rice and salt to the tenants staying at Babupara and face masks to some media persons.
